For most of the web's history, design was about pixels. You designed a homepage, a product page, a contact page. Each screen was a deliverable. Each project ended when the design was approved.

That model does not scale anymore. A website is not a set of screens. It is a system of connected experiences that changes based on the user, the context, and the data.

Modern web design thinks in components, not pages. It thinks in flows, not funnels. It thinks in systems, not deliverables.

When we design a web system, we start with the user journey and the business logic. The visual design is the last layer, not the first. The structure and the connections come first.

This is not a trend. It is the new baseline. Companies that still think in pages will fall behind companies that think in systems.
